Good morning everybody, shortly I will be celebrating the 19th anniversary (9/19) of being diagnosed with diabetes. Yes, I know very exciting, that means I have lived with diabetes for half of my life.
Once again this year I taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $1 million..., I mean $89 million. Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them children.
I don't know all of the details, but I am hearing some good news. I am being totally serious when I say that I do feel that JDRF is our best hope for finding a cure. JDRF helps fund more type 1 diabetes research than any other charity worldwide and it's making progress along many promising paths toward better treatments and a cure. Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
Anyone who donates $50 or more will be entered in a raffle to win 2 Bulls tickets to their game against the Indiana Pacers on 10/18.
