Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page!
I'll never forget the day that doctors diagnosed my child with type 1 diabetes (T1D). That day changed our lives forever. And that's why I'm walking with JDRF on October 6, 2013 - to help JDRF fund research that will progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until it is no longer a threat to anyone. JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic plan to fight T1D.
Maggie was diagnosed in 1993 at 15 months old. At that time we were told that within one year they would have a bloodless glucose monitor and a cure within 5 years; 20 years later and we're still waiting for both.
Please help us by visiting my personal fundraising page. From there, you can support me directly, or join my team and become a fundraiser. Helping the 3 million Americans that have T1D has never been simpler.
I want you to know that JDRF uses your gift with great fiscal care. More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education. Past JDRF research efforts have helped to significantly improve the care of people with this disease, and have expanded the critical scientific understanding of T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered.
We greatly appreciate your consideration and support of this worthy cause. Even if you can't join us at the Walk, we appreciate any and all donations made to our fundraising efforts for JDRF.
If you have any questions or need any additional information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Very truly yours,
Cathy and Maggie
