Dear Family and Friends,

It is that time of year again, the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes!! In the last 7 years, our local walk has raised over 2 million dollars!! The money you have donated and helped raise goes to research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. We are all ready for a cure!!

I am a freshman in high school now.  I was diagnosed over 8 years ago, just before I started first grade. I wear an insulin pump 24/7 to manage my diabetes. My parents always tell me they are proud of me for taking care of my diabetes, but I know I really do not have any other choice.  

JDRF continues to lead the way in funding research for a cure for type 1 diabetes. Amazing break throughs are happening every day. We need to keep the research going so a cure is found.
