Join me in the fight to create a world without type 1 diabetes!
Sadie was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in March of 2013. This has definitely been a huge change for us as a family. I had heard about diabetes before but hadn't really had to deal with it up to this point.
Our team name is Sadie the Brave. There is a reason for that! Sadie is such a brave, strong little girl. She has taken this diagnosis in stride and has been incredible. She doesn't mind the finger pokes or the shots that much. She knows she needs to do it and gets it done! Not bad for an 8 year old!
She means the world to me and I would do anything for her. That is why we are walking again this year in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on May 3. I hope you can find it in your heart and in your wallet or purse to make a donation so that a cure can be found and my little girl can live a very long healthy life with no shots and no finger pokes!

Welcome to my JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes personal fundraising page!
I'm joining this year's Walk to raise funds to improve the lives of millions of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). The money I raise will help JDRF advance its strategic research plan to end T1D.
T1D is a life-threatening autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, which the body needs to get energy from food. Managing the disease requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on insulin. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure.
JDRF is working every day to change that. And, as the largest nongovernmental funder of T1D research, every dollar JDRF directs toward its research plan comes from donors like you.
Please support my commitment and donate to my Walk fundraising efforts today. Your gift will make a difference for millions of people affected by this devastating, life-threatening disease.
