Hello! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $89 million.

Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them children. 

 Since Ahni's initial diagnosis, life has been a rollercoaster.  From highs to lows, diabetes is a constant battle.  Not only does it directly affect Ahni, but it also indirectly affects her older sister Alex.  The hardest times are birthday parties, Halloween, Easter, and Valentine Day. Many of parties I would leave with her crying for one more cupcake etc.  And we would both cry all the way home.

This disease can soon be cured with your help.  Please donate to JDRF and come out and "Walk For A Cure"
