Dear Family and Friends,
Hello! I hope this letter finds you and your family doing well. It is hard to believe that it is already September and the start of a new school year. It is also hard to believe that I am going onto my twelfth Walk to Cure Diabetes. Although being a diabetic is not ideal, it has given me so many opportunities, such as the Walk. I have been able to witness firsthand the kindness that people have in their hearts. I have been touched and inspired more times than I can count. That being said, I am sad to say that it will be my last year fundraising through a letter campaign. It is a big commitment and I would not want to continue with it if I cannot give it all my attention. As I progress in school and my studies, I won’t be able to give it the attention it deserves. I would like to take this moment to thank you so very much for all that you have done to help me and this cause.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes will take place on October 20, 2013. Anything you do helps, whether that means making a tax-deductible donation, walking with my team, Michelle’s Mission, or just continuing to pray for a cure. There are two ways that you can donate: online by going to walk.jdrf.org or by sending a donation to me. Please make all checks payable to JDRF. I would like to ask that all donations be in by October 18th for organizational purposes. Thank you very much in advance.
This year’s walk will, once again, take place at Six Flags New England in Agawam. Everyone is invited to walk. The walk consists of a two mile route around the park. We have Michelle’s Mission shirts, lunch is provided and entry into the park is free after the walk. If you are interested in walking, please let me know. We would love to see you there!
