Dear Family & Friends,
Welcome to our personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page!
Although we are unable to make the Walk this year, we are committed to helping JDRF find a cure for T1D . This cause remains very near and dear to our family and Matt so we will be particiapting as Virtual Walkers this year.
As you know, our son Matthew was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 7. Matthew is now 14 years old and we have seen firsthand how the fundraising efforts have lead to the improvement of how he is able to manage his diabetes. With increased donations to JDRF, JDRF is able to fund new research and technology development. Matthew has gone from taking multiple insulin shots a day to using an insulin pump to now using a continuous glucose monitor which communicates with his pump and monitors his blood sugar levels. Each advancement is technology has helped him better manage his blood sugar levels and keeps them at steadier, more consistant levels which improves his overall health.
These new developments in technology have helped Matthew's quality of life, however, it is not a cure, and our family is dedicated to helping JDRF reach its goal of finding Matthew and others like him a cure for this disease.
We are asking for your support. Please donate to our personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for Matthew and the millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
Did you know that:
Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
