Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page!
Kevin and I are proud to be the Family Team Captains for "Grant's Generals" in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes this year, and we are asking you to support us.
Living with diabetes is not easy and it is not fun; but with the help and support of his doctors, his family and his friends, Grant continues to meet his life challenge with courage, optimism, and determination. He is now 14 years old, is on an insulin pump, and is an honors student at his junior high. He plays baseball and is a Second Degree Jr. Black Belt in Karate. WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM!!!!
So much of this disease is beyond our control; however we can help the JDRF on their quest to find a cure for this horrible disease. JDRF gives more resources to diabetes research than any other organization in the world. Over 80% of every dollar raised by JDRF is channeled directly into research efforts. This is the best way we know how to help Grant and the millions of people with type 1 diabetes.
Please support our Family Team “Grant’s Generals” which consists of family and friends who will collect donations and walk with us on September 29th, at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Michigan.
We are hoping a cure in within reach – until then we will keep fighting and supporting research to improve the quality of life for diabetics. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible today?
Thank you for your support!
