Hello! This year our family will once again be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $89 million.
Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them children, like our Ethan.
Ethan has been using an insulin pump since last August and has adjusted to it very well. He knows how it works and can now administer insulin to himself (with supervision) via the pump. It is a blessing that Ethan is in tune with his body and can tell when his blood sugar is low and high. He rarely complains about having diabetes, but once in awhile we hear him say "I hate diabetes!" We tell him we do too and will just keep praying for a cure!
We believe there is nothing greater than the power of prayer and ask that you keep Ethan and the quest for a cure in your prayers. God has allowed Ethan to have this disease for a reason unknown to us, but we know He loves Ethan and has a special plan for his life. If you are able to support Ethan through a donation to JDRF we would greatly appreciate it and thank you in advance. But please know your prayers are priceless!
Thank you for your love and support,
Jeff & Julie Rule
