Hello! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $89 million.
Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them children. We are walking for our son, Craig who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on August 20, 2010 just 3 weeks after his 5th birthday. Craig is 7 now and is on an insulin pump which delivers the insulin his body needs to survive. This also requires him to test his blood sugar 6-8 times daily. Criag is a very active, funny and smart boy who LOVES football! It is our mission to help support new research and a cure for this disease.

Every dollar JDRF spends comes from donors like you! Any amount, great or small, helps JDRF get closer to its goal of moving scientific advances from the laboratory to clinical trials and into the hands of people with T1D.
Together, we can create a world without T1D!
