Hello to all of my family and friends!
This is Lucy Smith.
I want to first thank you for your kind donation to the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes last year, 2012. Last year I received The Golden Sneaker Award from the JDRF for raising over $3000. And guess what? Most of the money was raised within 48 hours of me registering for the walk!! Crazy, I know!
I am looking for your support again this year by doubling my goal to $6000 (or more, if you'd like :). Do you think I can raise $6000? Let's give it a try. Any amount is a precious gift! I am registered under "Lucy's Walk".
They have made great improvements to cure T1D this year!! I truly feel that in my lifetime there will be a cure and I cannot wait!! As many of you know, I have now been a diabetic for one whole year. It has been an interesting one full of pokes, needles, carb countings, calculations, you name it. Yes, I can handle it, but it is difficult having to do this before every meal and every snack, every day, all day. I am one tough cookie, along with thousands of other T1D kids around our world.
Please read below and consider again your generous support to the JDRF Walk To Cure Diabetes for 2013. You truly are making a difference each and every day. My parents and I continue to read about the advances made to cure T1D on-line, on TV or in the newspaper. It is really exciting!! Thank you again for your friendship, your love, your support, your commitment to make a difference.
Love you lots!
Lucy Smith :)
Did you know that:

Thank you for your support!
