Welcome to the Goodnature Family Homepage.

We will be participating in our 4th annual walk to help cure diabetes. Ava our oldest daughter who is 9 has Type 1 diabetes. Ava has asked many times why she got diabetes. It is a hard question to answer when nobody knows. Nobody knows why her body attacked itself. Nobody knows why her and not her sisters. So we walk as a family to help try and get her the answers.

Ava does an amazing job managing her diabetes. She has become an educator to many adults. Her chronic condition never allows her a break. She routinely checks her blood sugars, deciphers why her blood sugars spiked or dropped, and takes insulin daily. Ava pointed out one advantage she has with diabetes is she can prove she did not eat treats as her blood sugar numbers would be sky high. Tough luck for her sisters and friends who claim they didn't eat the treats....busted!
