Hello and welcome to my personal page!

Once again, our family will be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, as we raise money for research and a cure.

Our youngest daughter, Charlotte was diagnosed with type 1, or juvenile diabetes, just before her 3rd birthday.  She is now a healthy, active, spirited and funny almost-8 year old girl who doesn't remember what life was like before blood glucose testing, insulin shots, and insulin pump infusion site changes.  She doesn't, but I do.

I walk to raise money for research that leads to improved technology that in turn improves Charlotte's quality of life by making the disease easier to manage.  I walk to raise money for research that may someday lead to a cure so that she can experience life as a normal kid.  I walk for my daughter, my father, my brother, my niece, my cousin, and my neighbors, all of whom have type 1 diabetes.

JDRF is our best hope for finding a cure. It funds more type 1 diabetes research than any other charity worldwide and it's making progress along many promising paths toward better treatments and a cure.

Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
