We are doing the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes THIS Saturday, February 23rd at 7:30 am at the Mall of America in for Noah Williams. This is our 6th walk (that's how long Noah has had Type I Diabetes). We will be meeting at Quiksilver Boardriders Club (Store N144, i.e. 1st floor, north side of mall) between 7:30 and 7:55 am (walk starts at 8am).
Our team name is listed as "Team Noah - Archers". Our team goal is to raise $500 towards research and finding a cure. Please help us by donating. All donations are tax deductable.
Noah's Diabetes story:
2007 - April 30th --Noah was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes
2010 - August 14th --Noah had a seizure while sleeping caused by dangerously low blood sugar
2011 - January 18th --Noah went into a coma caused by dangerously high blood sugar. He had Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), was in anaphylactic shock, and had cerebral edema. Thank God he survived it!
Noah needs to check his blood sugar every day of every year (about 8 times a day -- his parents check him in the middle of the night every night so that he does not have another seizure). He needs insulin shots to survive (about 7+ shots per day). He cannot live without them.
Thank you for your support!
