"Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do."
- John Wooden
We can't believe this will be our 7th year participating in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes since Ryan was diagnosed in 2006 at the age of four!
This year we will, again, be virtual walkers at the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes (Mall of America). As Ryan continues with Rosemount Traveling Basketball, both he and his older brother Sean will be playing in the annual Quarry Classic Basketball Tournament in St. Cloud that weekend.
While we will not physically be at the Mall of America on February 23rd, our hearts will be. Conquering juvenile diabetes is both JDRF's and our mission . . . and you can help us with that mission!
Those of you who know Ryan, know of his strong desire and perseverance to succeed in all that he does. He truly is a "trooper" while he uses his Medtronic insulin pump to manage his diabetes and continues to maintain an extremely active lifestyle including his love (and skill) of playing basketball, football and lacrosse!
While we can't make the diabetes go away (and how we wish we could), we can help raise money to assist JDRF in finding a cure. Scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure within our lifetime and that would be a wonderful blessing!
Please help us make a difference by donating to Ryan's walk team: Ryan's Rebel Troopers. Any financial donation to JDRF would be greatly appreciated by not only our family, but the millions of other children and their parents who battle this terrible disease every day.
Thank you and God bless!
Jon, Michelle and Ryan
