Hello! This is the 9th year that I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes and first as a family team. Along with 20,000 other walkers at Mall of America, we hope to raise $2million for diabetic research on Feb. 23, 2013.
As most of you know, I am an insulin dependent diabetic, giving myself 6-7 shots of insulin /day and testing my blood sugars 4-5 times a day. That is 10-12 times a day that I stick myself with a needle. Think of a kid doing that for there entire life. Ouch!
There is some good news, though. JDRF is our best hope for finding a cure. It funds more type 1 diabetes research than any other charity worldwide and it's making progress along many promising paths toward better treatments and a cure.
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
Thanks,Ray
