It's that time of the year again for The Walk to Cure Diabetes! Let me tell you a little bit about myself! :)

My name is Kelsey Becker and I have been a Type 1 diabetic since I was 9 years old. I was diagnosed Aug. 27th, 2004. This is the day that Insulin became my new best friend. I was scared to death about the thought of sticking myself with needles everyday but after the first initial shot I found out Diabetes wasn't going to be so hard.

I work at a camp for children with diabetes called Camp Needlepoint during the month of August.

I do the walk to help not only myself, but all the children and adults living with Type 1 diabetes. I believe that together we WILL find a cure.
