AMAZING!!!  This is my 15th consecutive year participating in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.  This year it takes place on Feb 23 inside the Mall of America.

Each year I hope it is my last, but until a cure is found I will continue to walk and do my best to raise money.  As you may know, I've been on the life support drug called insulin since 2004 (diagnosed in 1996).  I have uncles, aunts and grandparents who also injected insulin and they have all died early from complications from diabetes.

Will you join me in the effort to find a cure?

Do it for all the children who get their fingers pricked 10+ times a day and who take multiple insulin shots each day.  Do you realize that a child can expect to be pricked over 27,000 times by age 5. Could anything be more unfair?

P.S. My great niece Grace Ann joins me in my picture.  While I'm glad she doesn't have diabetes, I pray we find a cure so she and cute kids like her never have to face this ugly disease.
