Hi! This is Meghan Coughlin. Thanks for visiting my site. Most of you already knew that I have Type 1 Diabetes. And, it is not just me, diabetes is growing at an alarming rate! When I was diagnosed, about 1 in 500 kids in Minnesota had it. Today, it's 1 in 300!

There is some good news, though. Scientists are getting closer to uncovering the cause of Type 1 diabetes, which helps their efforts to treat, reverse and even prevent the autoimmune disease in the future. The scientists and doctors working on a cure truly believe I CAN expect to see a cure within my lifetime!

Please consider taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes at The Mall of America. The Walk is February 23 at 8 a.m. I'm asking you to please donate money and help me reach my goal of $3000 so that someday soon there will be a cure. I would also love it if you could make it to the Walk and walk with Meghan's Dream Team (registration starts at 7 a.m.).
