Hi,
I'm Miles and I have type 1 diabetes. I am 11 right now and will be 12 in March. I was diagnosed in 2008 when I was 7. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which prevents my pancreas from creating insulin. It has affected millions of people worldwide.
I now have to wear a pump which gives me my insulin, and I have to check my blood sugar to make sure it is not too low or high. It would be a very large load off my back if I didn't have to take my insulin manually and check my blood sugar 5-6 times a day.
I have participated in a study to enhance knowledge of type 1 diabetes, and this will be the 5th year walking to raise funds. So please donate money to JDRF to give them more funds to increase the possibility of curing type 1 diabetes or at least preventing it. All the people with type 1 diabetes will live a much easier life if we can cure it.
THANK YOU,
Miles Boogren
p.s. JDRF is the best hope to cure type 1 diabetes. They have funded more type 1 diabetes research than any other organization. So please donate generously :)
p.p.s. My Mom and I created this video last year. You might have already seen it? It's only 93 seconds. You'll see me at the end. Enjoy!
