Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with one-half million other walkers across the country, as we try to reach our nationwide goal of raising $94 million.  

Our son, Brady, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just over a year ago.  Our family has come a long way in the past year, but we have a long way to go still.  We have been able to get him started on an insulin pump, which has drastically cut down on insulin shots.  We still have to check his blood sugar numerous times throughout the day, and of course we are always counting our carbs.  He has been one tough little fellow thorugh all of it, and has taught Bryan and I a great deal.  We are hopeful that one day there will  be a cure or at least some great advances in technology to make this whole grueling daily process a little easier for all of us.
