Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page! This year my family will be taking part in the  Walk to raise funds to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).

My four year old son Kaleb was just diagnosed in January 2013. Our lives have been forever changed by T1D. As a family we are adjusting to life and learning how to take care of our little man in the best way possible. It is still a struggle for Kaleb and my family for get used to what we like to call our "new normal" lifestyle. We have our good days and bad as Kaleb is getting used to the insulin shots, blood glucose checking, and everything else that comes with having T1D.

This is our first year participating in the Walk to Cure Diabetes. My family is excited to be able to get to participate and raise money so one day our son and the many others affected by type 1 diabetes will have a cure.
