Please help in my cause of finding a cure for diabetes. My story starts as far back as my grandparents who developed diabetes in their older age but none the less still had diabetes. Then move and to my mother who is a type 1  diabetic and has been for many ,many years, she had a lifelong battle with the disease and has now taken over her kidneys and she is currently on dialysis, she has a long list of complications from diabetes but is such a trooper. And unfortunately my son was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the age of 12 and with the family history he is high risk for type 1, although he is well controlled at this time with medication it is something we have to keep a eye on. With all this being said I am walking for the JDRF to help find a cure for diabetes. Please help in my cause.
