My family and I are walking to raise money to cure Diabetes. We are walking For EMILYS TEAM on Feb. 23rd at MOA. 

Our granddaughter Emily has Type 1 Diabetes and  wears an Insulin Pump to maintain healthy Insulin levels in her body. Emily will be 10 yrs old next week and was diagnosed at age 4.  Besides it being very emotional and difficult to see someone you love struggle with this disease, the financial costs  can be  overwhelming to my son and daughter-in law. They struggle to keep up with all Emily's doctor bills and the ever rising costs of Ins. premiums, and  supplies for her pump, which are not covered by  Insurance.  Out of pocket costs can be in the hundreds per month to make sure Emily is able to live a  healthy life .  We all will do whatever it takes to make sure that Emily has what she needs to grow into that beautiful, healthy, Independent young woman she will be.
