Please take a moment to watch this short video clip about our mission:
Isabella Donkey Walkers has a name change....Isabella's Fluffy Friends!
As most of you know, my daughter, Isabella was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic 4 years ago. This diagnosis has changed our family in many ways. As a result, besides closely monitoring her diet, Isabella must test her blood sugar levels 6-10 times a day, even through the night. This does not include the insulin pump change that has to be done every 3 days, as this results in yet another neddle poke. This equates to approximately 2,920 finger sticks and at least 105 pokes for the pump every year. This will continue every year for the rest of her life unless a cure is found!
We are excited that our third JDRF Walk for a Cure is coming up so soon!!!
Alone, my family and I cannot make this happen without the help of each of you. Please share this with as many friends as possible so that we can make a difference.
What are some ways that you can help....
1.Make a generous contribution in support of Isabella. Any amount is welcome. Online donations are safe and secure, however, if you prefer you can send us cash or a check made out to JDRF. Please mail to: 14545 Blackberry Way Rosemount, MN 55068-2461 (ask your employer if they match, many do!)
2.Come walk in support of Isabella in February 8:00 AM at Mall of America and be an active part of our Team. You can register for our team at isabellasaal
After you register, consider making a personal contribution and join our fundraising efforts. We'd love to have you join us for a fun day at the Walk!
Please know that more than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education. We greatly appreciate your consideration and support of this worthy cause. We look forward to having as many people as possible join us. Even if you can't join us at the Walk, we appreciate any and all donations made to Isabella's Fluffy Friends as part of our fundraising. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please don?t hesitate to contact us. Again, thank you from all of us for your generous support of Isabella. Very truly yours,
The Saal Family
