I'm participating in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes!

     

    ~ Easton Holland ~ 4 Years Old ~

    ~ Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on November 7, 2011 at age 3. ~

    This year we have had:
    ~ 3,285 finger pokes ~
    ~ 365 sleepless nights ~
    ~ and 121 Set changes~

    We just survived our first year with a son who has Type 1 Diabetes.  On his one-year anniversary we have decided to CELEBRATE it. We went out to the restaurant of his choice, Chuck E Cheese and brought care packaged up to the peds hospital in honor of Easton!  You may wonder why we would celebrate such a thing.  But, we are not celebrating that he has diabetes.  We are celebrating that it has not beaten him, or us!  We are celebrating that he is living, breathing, and in our eye's thriving! 

    Like this video shows, he may have diabetes, but diabetes does not have him!  It has made him Stonger, Smarter, Braver, and more Special!!!
