Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page! I'll be taking part in this year?s Walk to raise funds to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).
My niece was diagnosised with this disease in December, in-between family gatherings of Thanksgiving and the joy of the Christmas season. The diagnosis forever changed the way my family looks at the holidays and the importance of celebrating, nuturing, and enjoying family. Lauren is six. She has a full life ahead of her: elementary school recesses, middle school math, high school dances, college, kids of her own, a career. With your support, researchers will find a cure. Supporting T1D research is something that even our deeply divided Congress can agree on: they have agreed to include $150 million for research for finding cures for T1D. But the road to a cure is long and every penny counts.
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
