Maya is now beginning the eighth grade and is already a hunting enthusiast. She faces the challenges of middle school and the great outdoors with the task of managing her diabetes. She must always be prepared and plan ahead to manage the highs and lows associated with life on an insulin pump.
This is the 11th year that Maya has had a walk team for the purpose of raising funds for diabetes research. JDRF’s goal is to find a cure for T1D and is currently sponsoring $530 million in scientific research in17 countries. We believe that curing this disease is possible in Maya’s lifetime.
We are asking once again for your support. Checks can be made out to JDRF and are tax deductible. You can also donate online through JDRF Walk 2013. Walk with Maya’s Marchers, pray for a cure, and/or make a donation.
