Hello Family and Friends,
This is my 10th year I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, as we try to reach our goal of raising money to help cure Type 1 diabetes.
Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that not only effect a large and growing percentage of juveniles BUT adults as well.
My support started with JDRF when my oldest son, at the age of 12 was identified as having a marker to become a diabetic. That's when my family and I became very active in JDRF.
As of today, my son age 22 is NOT a diabetic, due to the early detection and adjustments we made in his life, but we continue to be advocates raising money for JDRF.
There is some good news, though for those who are living with diabetes. JDRF is our best hope for finding a cure. It funds more type 1 diabetes (T1D) research than any other charity worldwide and it's making progress along many promising paths toward better treatments and a cure.
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
