I don?t personally have diabetes, but I know someone who does. My grandmother in law, Grace, who has recently moved up here from Florida to stay with my mom for better care. She has diabetes and isn?t as mobile anymore being mostly stricken to a wheelchair with the occasional short distance walk with a walker. Every day, my mom has to help Grace with her medications, shots, as well as blood sugar tests. Now you may not know my mom like I do, but there is one thing in this world that she dreads and hates, and that is needles. Regardless of how much she dislikes needles, she still helps Grace with her shots and blood sugar tests because she wants to make sure that, even though Grace can?t completely take care of herself now, she still continues to get the right treatments. I don?t have diabetes and maybe neither do you, but if the time ever comes that do I have it I would rather there be a cure than to have to deal with daily needles and tests. So if you?d like for a cure to be available to you when you might need it, and also want to help out the many many people already suffering and dealing with diabetes, please donate. Every little bit helps even though you may not realize it. There are millions of people in this country alone, and even if half of them donate just $1.00 that would make a tremendous impact. I?ll be walking in support of a cure and if you?d donate on my behalf I would greatly appreciate it.
