  As many of you know our son Brady was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes three years ago at the age of three.  This disease forces our son to endure 8 to 10 pokes a day, that is 10, 950 to date.  Our son rides a rollercoaster of highs, lows and normal range blood sugars and does this with very little complaint.  His courage, bravery, grace, and perseverance are a lesson to all of us.  Between learning at school, participating in sports, being a big brother, and a good friend Brady can count carbs balance insulin boluses and keep on moving. 

  As his parents our only wish is to be able to tell Brady that he does not have to check his sugar anymore, or give boluses, or count carbs.  For this reason we will be walking in JDRF?s walk for a CURE on April 21, 2012 at Carowinds.  We invite all of you to be part of our walk team and part of Brady?s sure.  We truly cannot accomplish this dream without your love and support.  

  JDRF is the global leader in Diabetes research and is our best hope for finding a cure. It funds more type 1 diabetes research than any other charity worldwide and it's making progress along many promising paths toward better treatments and a cure. They have recently partnered with Johnson and Johnson on the Artificial Pancreas Project.
