Hi! Again this year, I will be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes along with half of a million other walkers nationwide.
Every year 13,000 children are diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. On June 17th, 2010, at just eight years old, a young girl named Hannah became one of the 13,000 children to be diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Since then, her life has changed and she will never be able to outgrow her disease. Every day for Hannah is a battle, fighting a disease that you can treat but never control. Her strength and courage inspires me and I am ready to help her find a cure!
Now, more than ever, you can make a difference. Any amount, great or small, helps JDRF get closer to its goal to improve the lives of every person affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating and preventing T1D. Together, we can make a cure a reality.
Thank you for your support!
