Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page!  We are taking the steps to help achieve JDRF's mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

Kerry's Cardinals for a Cure Year 3

Kerry has been busy again this year.  She is the artist in our family, she has been painting, singing, acting, writing, and adding drama to each day :).  This year she has also become quite the basketball player and is trying her hand at lacrosse!

This most memorable week of the year for Kerry was being able go away for a week to Diabetes camp, a week were diabetes is normal, as all of the other campers and councelors live with juvenile diabetes too.  We do still dream of a day when finger pricks, carb counting, blood sugar highs and scary lows will no longer exist.... but for now that is still just a dream...

Here is where we need YOU.  While technology is great, it is still not a Cure.  Insulin and a pump "George", are currently life support for Kerry.  What we need is a Cure in Kerry's Lifetime!  In order for a cure to be found, it takes people like you to make a sacrifice and donate to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  There are currently 42 clinical trials being run by JDRF, more than ever before.  We believe a cure in Kerry's lifetime is possible.  Please help!

The JDRF Walk is a fantastic way to make a difference in the millions of lives of people affected by type 1 diabetes.  For at least that one day, they will look around and see all the support they have from their friends, family and community.  On Walk Day, everyone can have fun and celebrate how much closer to a cure we are because of their efforts.
