Hannah's Hope

Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page for Hannah!  As most of you know our daughter, Hannah, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in June 2010.  This has been quite a change to her routine, checking her blood sugars 7-8 times a day, 5+ insulin injections, and constantly monitoring her diet.  Not surprisingly, Hannah has shown maturity and strength beyond what you would expect from an 10 year old faced with this challenge.  We, with the generous help of our friends and family, are taking the steps to help achieve JDRF?s mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.  

The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research.  We were blessed with tremendous support from friends and family again last year and raised over $9,000!

The JDRF Walk is a fantastic way to make a difference in the millions of lives of people affected by type 1 diabetes.  For at least that one day, they will look around and see all the support they have from their friends, family and community.  On Walk Day, everyone can have fun and celebrate how much closer to a cure we are because of their efforts.
