Welcome to Super Andrew's JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page!
Andrew was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on February 17, 2011 at age 7. He handles this disease with such maturity and strength. That's what makes him Super Andrew!
Since Andrew's diagnosis, each year we walk in the (JDRF) Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes. Walking provides Hope - Hope for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, as the funding from the walk goes directly towards research to find a cure. A cure means that kids like Andrew, with Type 1 Diabetes, will not have to endure continual finger pricks and insulin shots each day to live. One day a cure will be found, and we can feel good knowing that we played a role in making that happen.
On Walk Day, Andrew will look around and see all the support he has from friends, family and this great community. We hope you can join us for this year's walk on October 26th at BB&T Stadium. To join our team, click the join team link below.
To make a team donation, click on the "Donate" button at the top of this page or if you would like to make your gift to one of the team members please click on their name below. Thank you. Together, we will cure, treat, and prevent Type 1 Diabetes. Let's walk with Super Andrew!
