Back in September, my 14 year old daughter, Katie, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. With no history, no warning signs and no knowledge of this disease, Katie was thrown into a whole new way of life. We have come a long way since then experiencing lots of peaks and valleys in the past 3 months. I am so very proud of her and the way that she has taken on this challenge.
I am asking for your support. On May 18, 2013, Katie & I will be participating in the "Wildwood 2013 Walk to Cure Diabetes". We are hoping to build a team ("Katie's Team") of walkers to share in this inspirational event. We are also trying to raise funds for Juvenile Diabetes hoping to eventually find a cure.
Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
