It is that time of year again when we shamelessly ask all of you to walk with us and donate to the JDRF to help us get closer to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. Every year we are overwhelmed with your support and generosity and we are counting on you again this year.
Can you believe that Easton has had diabetes for nine years already? He doesn't remember anything different but he is starting to think about his future, what he wants to do with his life, where he wants to live and the goals he wants to accomplish. While T1D will not prevent him from reaching his goals, he is expressing that he is ready for a cure so that he doesn't have to worry about where to keep his insulin and supplies when he is living in the forest, saving the animals. Can you blame him? We are all ready for a cure for Easton and all the other people who have to manage this disease every hour of every day of their lives.
Please join us for the Walk to Cure Diabetes on September 29 at Oaks Amusement Park. It is easy to register online. Walkers who raise or donate $100 get a t-shirt and all walkers who raise $20 get a ride bracelet. Our goal this year is lofty so we are counting on all of our friends and family to reach out to others you may know who would like to donate to this great cause. More than 80% of all the donations go directly to research to cure this disease.
Thank you so much and see you at the walk!
