Welcome to my JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes.  I'm walking to find a cure! 

In 2007, my nephew Joseph was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.  Like any disease diagnosis,  our family was shaken.  We learned quickly how to look for lows and highs, how to test Joe's blood sugar, how to count carbs, and how to give insulin.  At first it was scary! Now it is life.  I knew that in order to spend time with Joe I had to learn how to take proper care of him. Since I was not about to give up my time with Joe, I learned everything I could.  I treasure every minute I get to spend with Joe, (and his sister Ellie, too!)

JDRF is our best hope for finding a cure. It funds more type 1 diabetes research than any other charity worldwide and it's making progress along many promising paths toward better treatments and a cure.

I hope you will consider dontating, or even joining our team to help find a cure!
