Thank you for visiting Craig's donation page for the JDRF walk.

His personal journey with diabetes began when he was a teenager.  Over a period of time he developed odd symptoms like excessive thirst and fatigue but luckily, his grandmother, Ada, recognized his symptoms and suspected diabetes.  He was diagnosed at age 15 with Type 1 Diabetes and now at age 40 is about to begin using an insulin pump for the very first time!

Many of you may not have known that he is a diabetic.  He had not shared it with many of his friends but more recently has been more open about his daily experiences with those who notice.  Since his diagnosis, much has improved in diabetes care, thankfully.  Some may wonder why he is on Team Sanford; it is not simply because I work there!  For his birthday party, Craig would not want his friends and family to spend money on him with gifts.  However, if you wished, I wanted you to be able to contribute to an effort that may help him and others like him so a goal of $100 has been set for him as a virtual walker.  I chose to sign him up under Team Sanford because JDRF supports the very research I have the honor of contributing to on the Sanford Project.  It is Sanford Health's signature research effort to cure Type 1 Diabetes right here in Sioux Falls.  From my perspective, it is very exciting and at the same time, humbling to have the opportunity to contribute to an endeavor that may someday improve his life.

Please know that we appreciate any contribution you may choose to make and thank you, friend, for being his blessing.
