Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page!
One of the surgeons I work for (Dr. Jason Hubbard) has a daughter with type 1 diabetes. Howell Allen Clinic forms a team each year to support the cause. I'm very fortunate at this point to have a very healthy daughter, but I sympathize with those who face such difficulties. I know if Lillian had this condition, I would certainly appreciate support from others so that is why I am happy to support Dr. Hubbard and others in this noble cause.
On Saturday, September 28, I hope to be taking part in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic plan to fight type 1 diabetes (T1D) and the largest nongovernmental funder of T1D research. The Walk raises funds, awareness, and hope for the millions of people living with and affected by T1D, a serious autoimmune disease. I'm asking you to help support my fundraising efforts with a tax-deductible gift that will help make a difference in the lives of the millions of people with T1D.
There is a strong chance that Chris' brother and his wife will be having their twins next week in which case, I will be a virtual walker. However, the money that we and any of you donate will still help with this great cause.
Thank you for your support!
