December 21, 2009: The day Clara's life was saved or the day the wheels came off the bus? Both, I think. We're closing in on our fourth year of diabetes: constant monitoring of blood sugar, food intake, exercise, stress. While I truly believe that it's not the worst thing that could happen to our family, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Its' hard, it's constant, and it's only the beginning of the rest of Clara's life.
But there could be a different outcome for Clara and the millions of people worldwide with Type 1 diabetes. There could be a cure. Or a revolutionary new treatment that makes diabetes management easier, simpler, safer.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is our best hope at finding that cure. Worldwide, they sponsor more diabetes research than any other organization. Please join Clara's Carb Cats and walk with us on October 28th at the Domain or make a donation today for someone you love. Make a donation for Clara.
Thank you and God bless,
Cindy, Dan, Clara, and Audra Bogard
