My son, Jackson, was diagnosed with Type 1 almost 3 years ago when he was 11-years-old. If you knew him, you would be very impressed with how he's handled this huge burden. He is a typical 14-year-old boy who loves to hang out with his friends, listens to Skrillex and Dead Maus and plays COD.
And in addition to those things EVERYDAY he:
And that's not all - but you get the idea. I am amazed with all he does. It's so much and no one should have to do this. But my boy does. He was in the hospital this fall three times in six weeks because of complications with this awful disease.
Please help us find a cure in Jackson's lifetime. No one should have to work so hard to stay alive.
