Our 2010 JDRF Walk Team - we hope it grows bigger in 2013!
We will turn Type One into Type None
Hello Friends and Family!
This year Morgan will be taking part the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, along with several members of our family. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes three years ago, at the age of 10. Since then she's learned how to stay healthy by giving herself insulin and poking her fingers up to 8 times each day to test blood sugar. A couple years ago she began using an insulin pump which helps keep her blood sugar more stable and simplify her life, but keeping on top of it is an ever changing series of adjustments. Type 1 Diabetes has changed our lives forever, but we're hopeful that one of the recent breakthroughs will bring her a cure. Until then, JDRF is also working on new advances to make living with diabetes easier.
We're hoping that you will consider walking with us on May 11th or donating to the JDRF so we can help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes!
