Hello Friends and Family!
Once again, this year, our family is walking in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, on behalf of our son, Ryan. This year, Ryan decided to continue with the "rock and roll" theme and we'll be known as "Ryan's Rockers" once again.
Last year, with your help, our team raised almost $6,000, bringing our six year total to over $46,000! We could not have done this without your wonderful support and generosity.
It's been six years now since Ryan was diagnosed with diabetes. For the most part, Ryan is a normal 13 year old. He loves his friends, goes to camp, plays way too many video games, plays golf, etc. But his daily routine is very different than many of his classmates:
He's been on an insulin pump for four years now which mean he's no longer doing 4-5 shots a day, but the pump is connected to him 24x7 and he's got to change the insertion site every 2-3 days.
How can you help?
Your donations are important to help us find a cure. JDRF has funded the most major scientific breakthroughs in Type 1 diabetes research to date and they account for the majority of all Type 1 diabetes research worldwide, more than any other charity.
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference.
Whether you can join us for the walk here in Madison, or are able to make a tax deductible donation, please consider sending this on to your own family and friends and help us fund research for a cure!
Thank you very much for your support,
Jason, Katie, Ryan and Matthew Davis
