This sweet, fun-loving little guy is Bryn. He and his big sister Livia, along with their parents Mike & Maddie, moved next door two years ago. They are an amazing family that we are very grateful to call our friends. When Bryn was just 1 year old, his family was confronted with a very scary experience that resulted in learning he had the life-threatening autoimmune disease, type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Bryn is truly one of the sweetest, cutest little guys you'll ever meet. He gets his blood sugar tested many times a day, has to deal with serious dietary restrictions, and has spent a lot of time in doctors' offices and hospital beds. You can imagine how confusing and frustrating that must be, especially for a toddler. But Bryn's parents work very hard to make sure he can go about his kiddo-business without a care in the world.
We only see a glimpse of what a challenge this is for Bryn's parents to manage. They face continual fears about their child's health and are proactive in doing whatever they can to ensure he lives a healthy, happy life.
We are walking on September 29 in support of Bryn and his family, and the millions of people affected by T1D. The money we raise will help JDRF fund critical research to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until no one has to fear developing the disease.
Our personal fundraising goal is $100. If you are able, we and Bryn's family would greatly appreciate donations in any amount. Online donations are safe and secure; just click on the "Donate" button above. If you would prefer to send a check, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Thank you SO much for your support!
