This is our second year walking and we are so excited. We walk for everyone with T1D but our hearts are in it for our six year old son, Trayton. Trayton was diagnosed with T1D October 11, 2012. He really is a trooper and an inspiration to us EVERY day. He is starting his second season of Soccer and loves riding his bike and doing anything that involves running around being active.
If there was a cure he wouldn't have to get at least 4 shots a day(since he was diagnosed about 2000 shots), he wouldn't have to poke his finger 4-8 times a day(since he was diagnosed an average of 2800 times) and he could enjoy all the little things we take for granted. Like having a slice of birthday cake at school when they are celebrating someone's birthday. Or getting to eat the candy cane that Santa just gave him or the free sample at Costco (who doesn't love those).
Please join our team and our effort in fundraising to find a cure for everyone with T1D!
