I am 16 years old and have been diabetic for almost 13 years. I was diagnosed at age 4 over Thanksgiving. I am an only child and was the first person in my family to get type one, but a few years ago, my cousin was diagnosed with it too.
My family and friends are very loving, supportive, and involved and I'm very thankful for that. My dad is the Volunteer Comittee Chairman for the Brevard Walk and helps out a lot.
My father and I volunteer at the Orlando Walk and my mother and I volunteer at the Brevard one as well.
My goal is to raise $500 as a team this year but really want to raise it on my own. ANY donation, even a penny, is greatly appreciated and brings us one step closer to a cure.
Over the past 4 years, I have been slipping health wise and I'm really trying to get back on track. I want to be a role model for the younger diabetics in my area and I am determined to do so.
So, thank you for visiting my page, and if you are wanting to donate, PLEASE do so, and you'll be recieving a personalized thank you from me for it! :) And if you have any questions/comments, feel free to e-mail me at Gabbi.Piazza@gmail.com. Feel free to (PLEASE!) share this page with your friends and family. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... ANYTHING HELPS!!!! Thank you! :)
