JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at Niabi Zoo May 3rd, 2014
Welcome to Positively Pumped, a Quad Cities area walk team, of type 1 diabetic pumpers!
Positively Pumped is a fellowship of type 1 diabetic pumpers, who have decided not to allow diabetes to be a negative impact on their lives. We laugh, struggle, teach, learn, and support each other, and always keep a positive attitude, because attitude is everything in managing our diabetes.
This year we're teaming up to walk in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at Niabi Zoo on May 3rd, and we're asking for your help. Many of us were diagnosed when we were children, and have lived with diabetes the majority of our lives. Many of us have suffered complications, and strive to keep other complications at bay. Although we can treat our diabetes, a cure would set us free. We walk with the hope that we will see a cure in our lifetime. JDRF is the largest single contributor to funding diabetes research, in an effort to find a cure. By joining our Walk Team and making a donation, you will be helping us to raise funds to directly support research with the greatest potential to conquer this disease.
Will you accept the challenge to make a difference by walking with us? All we need you to do is click on the "Join this Team" button, make a donation, and begin fundraising. It’s simple, fast, and fun!
Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you on Walk day!
