Join me in the fight to create a world without type 1 diabetes!
This is our 2nd year to join my cousin Charlie in his walk. When I say this kid is amazing it is the understatement of a lifetime! You can read his story below.
Most of you already know that I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes September 24, 2012. Our family has been affected by this for one year now. So to "celebrate" for getting through one year of trying times, we decided to help raise money to cure Type 1 diabetes for everyone by participating in the JDRF walk. It has started becoming part of my regular habit, checking my blood sugar, and getting 4 sometimes 5 shots a day. It has affected me by always having to think about what I eat, and that I can't always eat what the other kids do. Sometimes the other kids might be doing fun things and I have to go check my blood or get my shot. It has affected my family and friends because now everyone has to watch out for me and to make sure I don't pass out by being too low or get too high. My mom and dad have both learned to do my shots and they have been helping me as much as they possibly can this year. And so we are just asking for you to either donate any amount of money, or join our team to walk with us on September 28, 2013 at Victory Plaza at American Airlines Center. Please visit my team page at the link on the page.
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
