JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic plan to fight type 1 diabetes (T1D). They'll do that by progressively removing the impact of T1D from people's lives until it is no longer a threat to anyone. I'm asking you to help support my fundraising efforts with a tax-deductible gift that will help make a difference in the lives of the millions of people with T1D.
T1D's onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. At present, there is also nothing you can do to get rid of it. People with T1D must manage the disease by injecting or pumping insulin several times a day, every day. Insulin is not a cure, and it does not prevent the possibility of serious complications like kidney failure, blindness, and stroke.
That's why I walk with JDRF - to help them fund research to discover, develop, and deliver new drugs and devices that cure, better treat, and prevent T1D. You can help, too! Either make a donation to support my efforts or join me on Walk day and raise funds to support JDRF.
Ford Motor Company has been a JDRF partner since 1983.The Ford Global Action Team, established in 1998 under the leadership of Edsel B. Ford II, includes 70 sites in nine countries actively raising funds through a variety of grassroots and corporate efforts, and has contributed more than $45 million to JDRF.In 2013, more than $3 million was raised by Ford Global Action Team sites to fund critical JDRF research, surpassing the $3 million mark for the 11th year in a row.No other company has made more of an impact on funding JDRF research than Ford.In association with employees, families, friends, dealerships and partners like UAW, BP, Mazda, and WPP, Ford is committed to being a partner until a cure is found.
My personal goal is to raise $5,000 and our office goal is over $100,000.
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
